It's done in polymer clay and has antiqued copper wire bails. It's 2 1/2 inches from top bail to bottom pumpkin leaf.  The whole thing, including the wires, is protected with a polycrylic varnish. This is my first. The heart is sculpted in polymer clay with a real fresh water pearl that's been "captured" with copper wire. The bail is also handmade with copper wire. I've painted thin strips of gold with a polymer paint that I make myself. It adds a bit of texture to the heart. I use to do pen &amp; ink years ago, (don't ask) and although I liked working with the ink I hated having to change the pen's tip every time I wanted a different size. I like dogs and I wanted to sculpt a doggy gargoyle. He's a cutie! When I finished the sculpture I could not come up with a name for this guy so, I turned to my fellow artists at Wet Canvas and ran a contest.
